Claridge’s
An Art Deco landmark, Claridge's blends original Victorian features with contemporary design input from the likes of Pierre-Yves Rochon and Bryan O’Sullivan. Its prime location in Mayfair gives you easy access to Hyde Park for strolling and South Molton and Bond Streets for shopping. Afternoon tea in the glorious surroundings of the hotel's Foyer & Reading Room is a quintessential London experience. With guaranteed 4pm check-out, you have more time to unwind at Claridge’s Spa, which offers healing rituals and an electrolyte-rich relaxation pool.
TIP FROM KELVIN
“Very few people know about the tiny wine shop in the basement, where occasional intimate wine-tastings are held for no more than six people. It's even possible to arrange a bespoke tasting.”
Rosewood London
Rosewood knew what it was doing when it chose 252 High Holborn for its first London address. The building is an Edwardian treasure, rich in heritage features, including a grand staircase winding up towards the central dome above. Before entering, you pass through huge cast iron gates into an arched carriageway and across a cobbled courtyard. Inside, there’s an extensive art collection that includes a British bulldog statue wearing a Vivienne Westwood collar. Contemporary rooms are furnished in shades of grey, white, and taupe, and there are toiletries from British beauty brands. Even the spa incorporates local touches with treatments including a British rose facial and a detoxifying body treatment incorporating Epsom salts. Before sightseeing, tuck into complimentary daily breakfast for two at the Holborn Dining Room, known for its elevated British cuisine.
TIP FROM MANDY
“Scarfe's Bar in the Rosewood is decorated with cartoons by Gerald Scarfe and exudes the atmosphere of a private member’s club. It regularly features on lists of the world’s best bars and is worth visiting for the nightly live jazz.”
The Ned London
The Ned London offers large open spaces and decor that pay homage to the former Midland Bank building’s 1920s Edwardian style. Each individually designed room channels the building's history with details like silk tasseled lampshades, velvet club chairs, and mirrored cocktail cabinets. Restaurants and bars serve food and drinks from around the world, and complimentary daily breakfast for two is an additional benefit provided by this property in The Hotel Collection. Ned’s Club Spa includes an indoor 20 meter lap pool, a sauna and a steam room, a Moroccan Hammam and a gents barbershop and ladies hair salon. Fittingly, the Ned is close to the also trendy Shoreditch neighborhood.
TIP FROM KELVIN
“On Sundays, The Ned hosts what is possibly London’s most decadent brunch, 'Ned’s Feast.' There’s a huge selection of hot and cold dishes, including oysters and lobster, the term 'feast' here is not hyperbolic.”
The Savoy London, A Fairmont Managed Hotel
Opulent old-world style meets modern convenience at The Savoy, A Fairmont Managed Hotel. Rooms and suites feature silk wallpaper, Murano chandeliers, marble baths, and views of the River Thames. The Savoy Grill serves French-inspired British cuisine; book the Chef's Table Experience for a private room within the kitchen seating up to six diners. Rejuvenate at the Savoy's Beauty & Fitness area, or indulge in the complimentary mini bar. Venture out to explore hidden gems such as Neal's Yard, House of MinaLima, and the London Transport Museum, all within walking distance.
TIP FROM MANDY
“The short road leading up to the hotel entrance is famously the only public road in the country where cars must drive on the right-hand side of the road.”
The Dorchester
The Dorchester has been standing tall in Mayfair since 1931 and continues to attract politicians, celebrities, and other luminaries. Fresh off a 2023 renovation, the elegant, airy rooms and suites are done up with florals, hand-painted headboards, and pastels suggestive of an English garden. Many have expansive views of Hyde Park, and you can get a head start on exploring with 12pm check-in, when available. Keep an eye out for art as you navigate the hotel and consider popping into the Wine Vault, an intimate space within the kitchen that counts over 1,000 bottles and hosts tastings.
TIP FROM MANDY
“The Dorchester is one of London’s grand dame hotels, and its afternoon tea at the Promenade is a storied tradition. Ensconce yourself in a comfortable seat at the Promenade and spend a couple of hours people-watching.”
The Hari Hotel London
Feel like a Londoner when staying at The Hari, which is tucked away in Chesham Place, apart from the hustle-bustle. Accommodations feature marble bathrooms, and luxe textiles like leather, faux fur, and velvet. Select suites offer separate living areas, fireplaces, and private balconies. You might put the $100 credit towards a meal at Il Pampero, which takes inspiration from hearty southern Italian cuisine. Work it off with a ride on complimentary bikes.
TIP FROM MANDY
“Change up your usual drink order with art-inspired cocktails at the Hari Garden Bar & Terrace. Up Up and Away, made with hibiscus-infused gin, cherry liqueur, cranberry, and a bubble of smoke, is based on Banksy's 'Girl with a Balloon'.”
Mandarin Oriental Mayfair, London
The city’s art scene is on your doorstep at Mandarin Oriental Mayfair, London, a striking new glass-striped property perched on Hanover square amidst dozens of galleries. Interiors are sleek and stylish enough to keep pace with the tastemakers around, and décor is softened by organic patterns and hand-painted floral wallpaper. Indulge your inner epicurean and put your $100 credit toward light bites and craft cocktails at ABar Lounge. Let your cares go at the sprawling spa, which offers a range of treatments that can all be complemented with binaural audio therapy, or take a dip in the long indoor pool, which is secluded in a cave like room studded with lights for an unearthly experience.
TIP FROM KELVIN
“Try on-site restaurant Akira Back, the first UK venture from the acclaimed chef himself, Akira Back, combining Japanese cuisine with Back's Korean heritage, for an all-day dining experience.”
Broadwick Soho
A flamboyant new addition to Fine Hotels + Resorts, Broadwick Soho is a small independent boutique hotel (57 rooms) with big personality in London’s dynamic West End. A red awning and pink door usher you into a townhouse-like environment of patterned wallpapers, plush furnishings, and eye-catching art. When a craving strikes, head downstairs for the Italian opulence of Dear Jackie; go to street level for a barista-made coffee or evening cocktail at Bar Jackie; or step up to the spectacular rooftop views of Soho at Flute outdoor terrace. Enjoy a bonus afternoon to relax or explore with guaranteed 4pm check-out.
TIP FROM KELVIN
“One of London’s coolest hotels in terms of décor and vibe, as you would expect from its Soho location, with a wonderful, bookable rooftop bar that packs up in summer thanks to its outdoor terrace tables.”
Nobu Hotel London Shoreditch
Nobu Hotel London Shoreditch seamlessly blends industrial chic and Japanese simplicity. The property offers rooms and suites that are nestled amidst the energy of East London’s creative district and the financial center. Use your $100 credit at the world-renowned Nobu Restaurant, where you can enjoy famed classics alongside unique plates inspired by the creativity and vibrancy of the local neighborhood. Nobu Spa offers a range of wellness, beauty, fitness, and relaxation treatments, creating an oasis where guests can truly unwind.
TIP FROM MANDY
“The London food scene has become all about fusion and new ideas, and breakfast at Nobu Shoreditch puts a Japanese twist on traditional breakfast.”
Treehouse London
From its perch in Marylebone, Treehouse London overlooks the London Eye, The Shard, Canary Wharf, and Regent's Park. Cozy rooms are outfitted with raw concrete ceilings, wooden furnishings, window seats, and stuffed Paddington bears. As you climb the Treehouse, pick where to use your $100 credit among multiple dining options, from the street level Pizzeria Mozza to the 15th-floor upscale Mexican restaurant Madera (with standard and vegan menus) to rooftop bar The Nest with a wrap-around terrace and 360-degree views.
TIP FROM MANDY
“This hotel is hidden behind Oxford Circus and, like a treehouse, offers up expansive views from the upscale Mexican restaurant Madera (with standard and vegan menus) and rooftop bar The Nest.”

Tate Modern
Formerly the Bankside Power Station, Tate Modern opened in 2000 and is one of the world's most popular art destinations (tate.org.uk, admission is free). It hosts rotating exhibitions, workshops, educational events, and Tate Modern Lates, when it stays open after hours with DJ sets, food, and drinks. The gift shop is a great source for quirky, cool souvenirs, as is nearby Oxo Tower, which stocks Suck UK gift items (suck.uk.com). Borough Market, Shakespeare's Globe, St. Paul's Cathedral, and the London Eye are also all in the South Bank area.

Leighton House Museum
In the leafy and upmarket environs of Holland Park and often overlooked in favor of the more famous, larger London museums, the Leighton House Museum is the former home and studio of Frederic, Lord Leighton, a leading artist of the Victorian age (rbkc.gov.uk/museums). It embodies how we expect a great artist of the time to live and will charm art lovers.
The Tower of London
It's one of the first things that people want to see in London, and understandably so – the sense of history at the Tower of London is palpable. Ceremonial guardians, nicknamed the Beefeaters, regale visitors of all ages with tales of past kings and queens, including the wives of Henry VIII, some of whom met a gruesome end here. Keep an eye out for the famous resident ravens and marvel at the even more famous Crown Jewels.

Jermyn Street
Jermyn Street is the place to go for shirtmakers and menswear retailers (jermynstreet.net). Pop into Turnbull & Asser (turnbullandasser.com) for shirts that are literally fit for a king, or take a look at the silk dressing gowns in New & Lingwood (newandlingwood.com). It’s not just menswear though, Paxton & Whitfield (paxtonandwhitfield.co.uk), one of the UKs oldest cheesemongers (established in 1797), is here, as is Floris (florislondon.com), the oldest English perfumer (established in 1730).

Princess Diana Memorial Playground
Diana Memorial Playground is located next to Kensington Palace and was inspired by the classic tale of a boy who won't grow up. Families can happily spend a few hours in this magical environment, complete with a wooden pirate ship, teepees, a beach, and sculptures. Let the kids explore and dash about while you relax in one of the many cozy seating spots (royalparks.org.uk).

Buckingham Palace
Perhaps London’s most iconic site, Buckingham Palace is the King’s official London residence and the administrative headquarters of the United Kingdom's monarch. Located in the City of Westminster, the magnificent State Rooms are open to visitors during the summer. On select dates in the winter and spring, exclusive guided tours are available.

Dennis Severs' House
Imagine an 18th century Huguenot silk-weaver's house just as they left it, as if the family has just stepped out and you’re secretly wandering around their private spaces (dennissevershouse.co.uk). Dennis Severs’ House is one of the smallest and most interesting museums in London, so book tickets ahead of time online, or for a special visit, arrange a private tour in advance.

Wimbledon
Located in historic Merton, an outer borough of London about eight miles from downtown, Wimbledon is the oldest tennis tournament in the world and perhaps the most prestigious. It's held annually in early July, and tickets are challenging to acquire, but not impossible. You can enter your name in a public ballot a few months in advance or try for a ticket via the Queue on the day of a match. Eligible American Express® Card Members can get early access to exclusive hospitality tickets for The Championships and receive other perks when you bring your Card to Wimbledon. Terms apply. If you can’t get courtside, opt for a Grounds Pass to enjoy a picnic and watch the matches via the big screen on The Hill. Learn more.
Apart from Wimbledon, London has plenty of parks for a summer picnic, and you can pick up everything you need from Fortnum & Mason on Piccadilly (fortnumandmason.com). Buy a traditional wicker hamper, fill it with goodies from the Food Hall, then spread your blanket at St James’s Park next door.

Eligible bookings must be processed before December 31st, 11:59PM Central Time, each calendar year to be eligible for statement credits within that year. Eligible bookings do not include interest charges, cancellation fees, property fees or other similar fees, or any charges by a property to you (whether for your booking, your stay or otherwise).
Statement credits are typically received within a few days, however it may take 90 days after an eligible prepaid hotel booking is charged to the Card Account. American Express relies on the merchant’s processing of transactions to determine the transaction date. If there is a delay in the merchant submitting the transaction to us or if the merchant uses another date as the transaction date then your purchase may not earn the statement credit benefit for the benefit period in which you made the purchase. For example, if an eligible purchase is made on December 31st but the merchant processes the transaction such that it is identified to us as occurring on January 1st, then the statement credit available in the next calendar year will be applied, if available. If you have transferred to a different Card at the time the merchant submits the transaction, you may not receive the statement credit. Statement credit(s) may not be received or may be reversed if the booking is refunded, cancelled, or modified. If the Card Account is cancelled or past due, it may not qualify to receive a statement credit. If American Express does not receive information that identifies your transaction as eligible, you will not receive the statement credits. For example, your transaction will not be eligible if it is a booking: (i) made with a property not included in the Fine Hotels + Resorts or The Hotel Collection programs, (ii) not made through American Express Travel, or (iii) not made with an eligible Card. Participating properties and their availability are subject to change. If American Express, in its sole discretion, determines that you have engaged in or intend to engage in any manner of abuse, misuse, or gaming in connection with this benefit, American Express will not have an obligation to provide and may reverse any statement credits provided to you. If a charge for an eligible purchase is included in a Pay Over Time balance on your Card Account, the statement credit associated with that charge may not be applied to that Pay Over Time balance. Instead, the statement credit may be applied to your Pay In Full balance. Please refer to AmericanExpress.com/FHR and AmericanExpress.com/HC for more information about Fine Hotels + Resorts and The Hotel Collection, respectively.
5X Membership Rewards® Points Platinum Card: Basic Card Members will get 1 Membership Rewards® point for each dollar charged for eligible purchases on their Platinum Card® or an Additional Card on their Account and 4 additional points (for a total of 5 points) for each dollar charged for eligible travel purchases on any Card on the Account (“Additional Points”), minus cancellations and credits. Eligible travel purchases are limited to: (i) purchases of air tickets on scheduled flights, of up to $500,000 in charges per calendar year, booked directly with passenger airlines or through American Express Travel (by calling 1-800-525-3355 or through AmexTravel.com); (ii) purchases of prepaid hotel reservations booked through American Express Travel; (iii) purchases of prepaid flight+hotel packages booked through AmexTravel.com; and (iv) purchases of prepaid vacation rental reservations booked through AmexTravel.com. Eligible travel purchases do not include: charter flights, private jet flights, flights that are part of tours, cruises, or travel packages (other than prepaid flight+hotel packages booked through AmexTravel.com), ticketing or similar service fees, ticket cancellation or change fees, property fees or similar fees, hotel group reservations or events, interest charges, or purchases of cash equivalents. Eligible prepaid hotel bookings or prepaid flight+hotel bookings that are modified directly with the hotel will not be eligible for Additional Points. Eligible prepaid vacation rental bookings that are modified directly with the vacation rental management company will not be eligible for Additional Points.
Bonuses that may be received with your Card on other purchase categories or in connection with promotions or offers from American Express cannot be combined with this benefit. Any portion of a charge that the Basic Card Member elects to cover through redemption of Membership Rewards points is not eligible to receive points. Additional terms and restrictions apply.
Merchants are assigned codes based on what they primarily sell. We group certain merchant codes into categories that are eligible for Additional Points. A purchase with a merchant will not earn Additional Points if the merchant’s code is not included in an Additional Points category. Basic Card Members may not receive Additional Points if we receive inaccurate information or are otherwise unable to identify your purchase as eligible for an Additional Points category. For example, you may not receive Additional Points when: a merchant uses a third-party to sell their products or services, a merchant uses a third-party to process or submit your transaction to us (e.g., using mobile or wireless card readers), or you choose to make a purchase using a third-party payment account or make a purchase using a mobile or digital wallet.
To be eligible for this benefit, the Card Account must not be cancelled. If American Express, in its sole discretion, determines that you have engaged in or intend to engage in any manner of abuse, misuse, or gaming in connection with this benefit in any way American Express may remove access to this benefit from the Account. For additional information, call the number on the back of your Card or visit americanexpress.com/rewards-info for more information about rewards.
5X Membership Rewards® Points Business Platinum Card: You will get one point for each dollar charged for an eligible purchase on your Business Platinum Card® from American Express. You will get 4 additional points (for a total of 5 points) for each dollar spent on eligible travel purchases. Eligible travel purchases include scheduled flights, prepaid flight and hotel packages, and prepaid short-term rentals made online at AmexTravel.com, minus returns and other credits. Additionally, eligible travel purchases include prepaid hotel purchases made through American Express Travel, over the phone with our Travel Consultants or made online at AmexTravel.com, minus returns and other credits. To modify a hotel or air reservation you must cancel and rebook your reservation. You can cancel and rebook your reservation on AmexTravel.com or by calling a representative of AmexTravel.com at 1-800-297-2977. Cancellations are subject to hotel cancellation penalty policies. If hotel reservations are made or modified directly with the hotel provider, the reservation will not be eligible for this 5X Membership Rewards® point benefit. To be eligible to receive extra points, Card account(s) must not be cancelled or past due at the time of extra points fulfillment. If booking is cancelled, the extra points will be deducted from the Membership Rewards account. Extra points will be credited to the Membership Rewards account approximately 6-10 weeks after eligible purchases appear on the billing statement. Additional point bonuses you may receive with your Card on other purchase categories from American Express may not be combined with this benefit (e.g., 1.5X and 2X bonuses for Business Platinum Card Members, etc.). Purchases eligible for multiple additional point bonuses will only receive the highest eligible bonus. The benefits associated with the Additional Card(s) you choose may be different than the benefits associated with your basic Card. To learn about the benefits associated with Additional Card(s) you choose, please call the number on the back of your Card.
Merchants are assigned codes based on what they primarily sell. We group certain merchant codes into categories that are eligible for additional points. A purchase with a merchant will not earn additional points if the merchant’s code is not included in an additional points category. You may not receive additional points if we receive inaccurate information or are otherwise unable to identify your purchase as eligible for an additional points category. For example, you may not receive additional points when: a merchant uses a third-party to sell their products or services; or a merchant uses a third-party to process or submit your transaction to us (e.g., using mobile or wireless card readers); or you choose to make a purchase using a third-party payment account or make a purchase using a mobile or digital wallet.
Please visit americanexpress.com/rewards-info for more information about rewards.

If points redeemed do not cover entire amount, the balance of purchase price will remain on the American Express Card account. Minimum redemption 5,000 points.
See membershiprewards.com/terms for the Membership Rewards program terms and conditions.
If a charge for a purchase is included in a Pay Over Time balance on your Linked Account the statement credit associated with that charge may not be applied to that Pay Over Time balance.
