Day 1:

DAY 1

Arrival

The Ocean View King Room features a four-poster bed and light décor. Blue curtains frame the doors to a balcony overlooking the ocean.

You step into the airy, high-ceilinged lobby, appointed in shades of stone and ecru that echo the beaches beyond. With Fine Hotels + Resorts bookings, you can secure an early check-in at noon if available, giving you a jumpstart on your day. If available, you can take advantage of your complimentary room upgrade at check-in, with options ranging from ocean-view suites with private balconies that provide expansive ocean vistas to garden-view suites with balconies or patios that showcase the property’s lush foliage. Inside, you’re greeted by a contemporary design and high-end amenities that invite relaxation and restoration.

Lunch by the Shore

Two tanned diners, only partially visible, sit at a small white table set with tacos, a poké bowl, chilled drinks, and a bottle of wine.
Aerial view of the property’s beach at sunset. The water is bright blue and a single cabana is set up on the sand near a palm tree.

After unpacking your bags and taking a moment to appreciate the view, head down for a leisurely lunch in one of the resort’s private Beach Cabanas. The a la carte menu includes light bites like guacamole; hummus and crudité; and an assortment of salads, along with some heartier options like crispy fish tacos and a Wagyu burger. Toast to the start of your vacation with one of the resort’s signature cocktails like the Bahama Mama1.

Relax and Recharge at Sense®, a Rosewood Spa

Rosewood’s full-service spa offers a variety of services designed to simulate both mind and body. One standout is Lost Remedies, signature treatments rooted in the ancient healing practices of the Arawak Indians, early inhabitants of the Bahamas who migrated from South America. These restorative treatments employ hot and cold compresses to strengthen the immune system, a sea sponge exfoliation, and a Moringa leaf body wrap – a local plant known for its many healing properties. Put your $100 experience credit towards Lost Remedies, or one of the spa’s many other offerings.

Afternoon Tea in the Library Lounge

A white teapot is caught in the middle of pouring tea into a white cup. A tiered tray of canapes is blurry in the background.

After a day of relaxation, retire to Symbols of the Bahamas Afternoon Tea in the Library Lounge. Available every Thursday through Saturday (or upon request), the afternoon tea service is hosted by organic tea purveyor Naturally Bahamian. The menu features a vibrant assortment of bush teas and nibbles both savory and sweet, all inspired by the region’s rich heritage and history.

Dinner at Café Boulud

A circle of reddish-orange broth and a white sphere of food flecked with herbs rest in the middle of a large white dish on a white table.
A beige-paneled dining area at Café Boulud features blue leather couches, round wooden tables, and tan chairs under floral chandeliers.

Once you’ve freshened up in your suite’s spacious walk-in shower or freestanding tub – be sure to note intentional amenities like reusable water bottles and bamboo toothbrushes – head down to dinner at Café Boulud, helmed by noted chef Daniel Boulud. Fusing seasonal local ingredients with elements of fine French cooking, Café Boulud’s menu offers a unique Caribbean dining experience. Choose from a selection of freshly caught seafood plates alongside traditional French dishes like an indulgent Tournedos Rossini. Don’t forget to peruse the finely curated wine list1, which features a selection of varietals both accessible and obscure, including some interesting pours from a refurbished farm in Napa.

Day 2:

DAY 2

Breakfast at Tingum on the Sand

Beachy casual Tingum on the Sand offers a full breakfast menu of elevated Caribbean eats. Enjoy your complimentary daily breakfast for two and fuel up for a day on the beach with dishes like Rosewood’s twist on a local staple, the Slam Bam Egg Sand-Vich, comprising bacon, egg, and cheese atop a warm Johnny Cake with Scotch bonnet mayo.

The BREEF Experience

If you haven’t already used your $100 experience credit on a spa treatment, you might put it toward an immersive coral reef experience. Rosewood Baha Mar partners with the Bahamas Reef Environment Educational Foundation (BREEF) for on-site excursions that invite guests to explore the dynamic world of the reefs while learning about the vital conservation efforts that keep this fragile ecosystem healthy and vibrant. Register for “Coral Reefs: A Citizen Science Program,” through which you’ll take a guided snorkel tour while learning about the flora and fauna that call the reef home. Plus, get an up-close look at a submerged living art gallery that includes the world’s largest underwater sculpture. Learn more about BREEF and other initiatives that helped Rosewood Baha Mar make American Express Travel’s Stay With Purpose list of luxury hotels and resorts making an impact.

Lunch by the Pool

Red-brown wooden awnings cover sun beds next to a winding pool surrounded by lush greenery.
Four pink-orange flamingos with blue and white bands on their legs stand in shallow ocean water near the viewer.

After working up an appetite exploring the reefs, head back to the pool to refuel and relax. Enjoy a sweet treat with complimentary poolside ice cream and be sure to catch the afternoon flamingo parade. Each day, the rescued flamingos that call the resort’s on-property sanctuary home (another nod to Rosewood’s purposeful efforts) stroll through the pool area in a bright display of plumage.

Flamingo Yoga

A flamingo looks at the viewer and another bends down while in the background, guests clad in black workout gear stretch on yoga mats.

Speaking of Rosewood Baha Mar’s famous feathered residents, you can trade your downward dog for a downward bird with Flamingo Yoga, hosted in the property’s scenic Rosewood Garden. These guided yoga classes are both a restorative wellness experience and an immersive wildlife encounter – Rosewood’s flamingos are already experts at balancing at one leg and love to join the fun. Every class is attended by a caretaker who ensures the comfort and safety of the birds.

Dinner at Costa

In the evening, a circular gazebo is lit up in the middle of a bright pool. There are low lounge chairs as well as high stools near the bar.

After taking in the sunset on the beach, head to dinner at Rosewood Baha Mar’s on-site Mexican restaurant, Costa. Offering guests both an a la carte menu and the option for family-style dining, Costa marries local flavors with traditional Mexican staples. Or spring for Chef Juan Meza’s tasting menu, which provides a journey through the offerings and can include beer, wine, or tequila pairings1 at an additional cost.

Post-Dinner Cocktails at Manor Bar

If you fancy a nightcap, grab a booth or stool at Manor Bar, Rosewood Baha Mar’s on-site bar specializing in handcrafted libations.1 Cocktail classics include an expertly mixed smoked Old Fashioned, a Sazerac, or a French 75, though they also offer more beach-forward cocktails like a Jungle Bird alongside a selection of wines and an extensive menu of sipping rums.

Day 3:

DAY 3

Blue Fields Farm Excursion

Head off the property to explore more of the island’s natural abundance. Blue Fields Farm is a local aquaponic farm that produces naturally grown micro-greens and living herbs. The farm tour, led by owner Tom Stack, gives insight into their work – and gives attendees a taste of the farm’s fresh produce.

Lunch at Goldie’s Conch House

While off-property, make time to visit one of the island’s popular locally owned eateries. Goldie’s Conch House serves up traditional Bahamian dishes and cocktails1 in unfussy digs – just look for the establishment’s signature bright pink exterior. Goldie’s is known for their fresh seafood, including the eponymous sea snail, and friendly local vibes.

Dinner at Cleo

Your evening concludes with Cleo, a Mediterranean-inspired restaurant with locations in New York and Las Vegas. The Baha Mar edition infuses Cleo’s signature menu with Bahamian flavors and local ingredients, including an array of healthy flatbreads and mezzes. An elegant but family-friendly eatery, Cleo offers complimentary meals to children under five.

Day 4:

DAY 4

Breakfast at Café Boulud

Return to Café Boulud to sample their full breakfast menu, which features breakfast standbys and inventive Caribbean dishes all crafted from locally sourced organic eggs and seafood.

Recreation at Rosewood

Thanks to your guaranteed 4pm check-out, you’ll have close to the whole day to make the most of the resort’s amenities before beginning your journey home. Blow off some lingering steam with some of the many water toys available to guests of the resort, including paddleboards, kayaks, and overwater trampolines. If you prefer to pursue sport on land, get in a round of golf at Baha Mar’s 18-hole course or work up a sweat with a tennis or pickleball match at the Racquet Club. Or venture into town again to climb the Queen's Staircase to historic Fort Fincastle – and pick up some last-minute souvenirs at the Straw Market, where you’ll find hand-woven straw bags and hats along with other crafts from local artisans. No matter how you choose to spend your last day, you’ll have the time to live it to the fullest.
